Since its launch almost 25 years ago, the Rêve de Miel Ultra-Nourishing Lip Balm has become an iconic product. Meaning “in front of the city” in Ancient Greek, propolis is a substance produced by bees to build, repair and protect the hive. It is produced from plant resins harvested by the most experienced bees. This resinous raw material is then added to wax and other components to make propolis, an extremely complex substance consisting of no fewer than 300 molecules (fatty acids, vitamins, polyphenols, minerals, etc.). It is a rare and precious substance, as the average annual yield per hive is around just ten/one hundred grams. A real treasure of nature, propolis has been recognised for thousands of years for its soothing, nourishing and tissue-regenerating properties.

Why was a Propolis Oleoactif® chosen?
Propolis is a resinous substance that is difficult to formulate in its natural state. Therefore, Nuxe has chosen a Propolis Oleoactif® (French origin) obtained using an exclusive extraction process called oleo-eco extraction. This dynamic and natural, solvent-free process respects both the environment and the raw materials. It allows optimum extraction of all the precious molecules of propolis using a carrier botanical oil (sunflower oil).
