Since their invention over 40 years ago, 3M™ E-A-R™ Classic™ earplugs have become one of the most widely used and trusted hearing protection solutions globally. Engineered to provide an excellent balance of comfort and attenuation, these earplugs are crafted from a soft, energy-absorbing foam that conforms to the unique shape of each wearer's ear canal.

Slow-Recovery Foam: Initially firm for easy insertion, the foam gradually softens once inside the ear to create a secure, comfortable, and reliable seal.
Moisture Resistance: Specifically engineered to resist sweat and humidity, ensuring consistent expansion time and effectiveness even in hot or damp conditions.

Are these earplugs reusable?

These are designed as disposable earplugs. While you may occasionally wipe off light dirt or debris, they should be replaced when they become damaged or lose their ability to recover to their original shape, softness, and expansion characteristics.

The 3M E-A-R Classic series is typically made from PVC foam; however, if you have specific material sensitivities, please consult the technical datasheet for your specific model or packaging details.

How much noise do they block?

They provide an effective seal with an attenuation rating (SNR) of up to 31 dB, depending on the specific model and testing certification.

Why is it important to roll them before insertion?

Rolling them into a thin, tight cylinder is essential to ensure they can be inserted deeply enough into the ear canal to provide a proper seal. If not rolled correctly, they will not expand enough to block sound effectively.

Can I wash them?

Because they are made of moisture-resistant foam, they are not designed for repeated washing. It is best practice to use a fresh pair each day for hygiene and optimal protection.
