Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Does this oil expire quickly?
No. Patchouli is one of the rare essential oils that actually improves over time. Its deep, musky aroma becomes softer, more complex, and richer as it matures. For best longevity, store the dark glass bottle at room temperature away from direct sunlight.
Can I apply this essential oil directly to my skin?
No, essential oils are highly concentrated. Absolute Aromas Patchouli must always be properly diluted in a carrier oil (such as Jojoba, Almond, or Peach Kernel oil) or mixed into an unfragranced cream before applying topically.
Can this oil be used during pregnancy?
Because Patchouli has an intensely rich, earthy aroma, it should be used with extra caution during pregnancy—particularly in the sensitive first trimester when strong scents can trigger nausea. Always consult a healthcare professional before beginning new aromatherapy routines.
