Product Information: Manage localized oral pain quickly with Anbesol Liquid 10ml. This targeted, dual-action liquid medication features a specialized dual-action formula that pairs pain-blocking technology with daily antiseptic defense to keep oral lesions clean and comfortable.
The formula works via three clinically trusted active components. Lidocaine hydrochloride functions as a fast-acting local anaesthetic, temporarily desensitizing nerve pathways to stop the sensation of pain at the application site. Working alongside it are chlorocresol and cetylpyridinium chloride, two effective antiseptics that target and eliminate harmful bacteria to prevent secondary infections in broken oral tissues. Completely sugar-free and supplied in a convenient 10ml bottle, it provides immediate, temporary relief from painful ulcers, sore gums, brace friction, and teething episodes.

Can Anbesol Liquid be used for newborns or young infants?

No. Anbesol Liquid is clinically indicated only for infants aged 5 months and older. It should not be administered to babies under 5 months of age under any circumstances.

How does Anbesol help with mouth ulcers?

It features a dual-action mechanism: the lidocaine hydrochloride quickly blocks the pain signals from the ulcer, while the built-in antiseptic agents help kill bacteria around the open sore to keep the area clean and support natural healing.

What should I do if my child spits out or vomits the dose?

If your child spits out, swallows, or vomits the medication immediately after application, do not apply any more right away. You must wait the full standard 3-hour interval before administering the next regular dose.

Is this product safe to use alongside other teething or pain remedies?

Do not use Anbesol Liquid at the same time as any other oral care products that contain lidocaine. Always check the labels of any concurrent throat or mouth remedies, or speak to your pharmacist to verify compatibility.
