Is this card fast enough to record high-definition video?

Yes, this card holds a certified Class 10 specification, securing a stable minimum continuous write speed of 10 MB/s. This performance profile is ideal for capturing smooth, standard 720p and Full HD (1080p) video formats on everyday digital cameras, dash cams, or older camcorders. It is not designed for high-bitrate Ultra-HD 4K pipelines.

Why does my device state that the available space is less than 8GB?

This occurs normally across all digital flash memory lines. Storage card manufacturers calculate capacity boundaries using decimal mathematics, while operating systems process storage via binary logic. Furthermore, up to 10% of the raw storage capacity is systematically reserved by the card's processing unit for internal file allocation tables, wear-level management, and active system formatting.
