Otrivine Adult Metered Dose 0.1% Nasal Spray delivers an exact dose of medicated spray inside the nose. It provides up to 10 hours of relief in as little as 2 minutes. It contains the active ingredient xylometazoline hydrochloride that helps to open up and clear nasal passages by reducing nasal mucus and returning swollen blood vessels to their normal size. 

Otrivine Adult Measured Dose Sinusitis Nasal Spray provides relief from nasal congestion associated with sinusitis.

DO NOT USE THE SPRAY:

• If you are allergic to xylometazoline hydrochloride or any of the other ingredients in the spray
• If you have had recent neurosurgery
• If you have narrow angle glaucoma
• If you have heart disease
• If you have an overactive thyroid gland.
• If you are taking, or have taken in the last two weeks, drugs for depression known as Monoamine Oxidase Inhibitors (MAOIs).
• If you have chronic nasal inflammation with very dry nasal passages
• On children under 12 years of age
• If you are allergic to other decongestants
• If you are pregnant.

How to Use This Product

For adults and adolescents over 12 years of age, spray once in each nostril 1 to 3 times daily.

1. Before using for the first time, prime the pump by performing a few pumping motions until an even spray is released into the air. At subsequent applications the dosing spray pump will be ready for instant use. Be careful not to spray in the eyes.
2. Blow your nose gently.
3. Hold the bottle upright with thumb under base and nozzle between two fingers.
4. Lean forward slightly and insert the nozzle into a nostril.
5. Spray and breathe in gently through the nose at the same time.
6. Repeat with the other nostril.
7. Clean and dry the nozzle before replacing back the cap right after use.

Active Ingredients

The active ingredient is xylometazoline hydrochloride (0.1% w/v). The other ingredients are benzalkonium chloride, sodium phosphate, disodium edetate, sodium acid phosphate, sodium chloride, sorbitol, hypromellose and water.
