FAQ

Can I take these if I have a sensitive stomach?

Alka-Seltzer contains an antacid to help neutralise stomach acid; however, because it contains aspirin, it is generally recommended to take it after food. If you have a history of stomach ulcers or severe gastric issues, consult a doctor first.

Is it suitable for children?

No. Alka-Seltzer is not recommended for children under 16 years of age unless specifically advised by a doctor, due to the risk of Reye's syndrome associated with aspirin.

How many can I take in a day?

Do not exceed 8 tablets in a 24-hour period.

Why does it fizz?

The fizzing is caused by the chemical reaction between the citric acid and sodium bicarbonate, which helps the tablet dissolve completely and speeds up the delivery of the medicine.

Should I drink it if I am pregnant?
