Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
What is the difference between MicroSDHC and MicroSDXC?
MicroSDHC (High Capacity) cards range from 4GB to 32GB. MicroSDXC (Extended Capacity) covers sizes from 64GB up to several terabytes. Devices must be explicitly compatible with the "XC" standard to read this 128GB card.
Can I use this card to record 4K video?
This card is rated as UHS-I Class 10 with a guaranteed minimum write speed of 10 MB/s, which is ideal for Full HD (1080p) video recording. While it may handle entry-level 4K compression rates under certain conditions, highly demanding, high-bitrate 4K video capture generally requires a U3 or V30 rated card.
Why does my device show less than 128GB of available space?
This is normal for all flash storage devices. Hardware manufacturers define 1 gigabyte as exactly 1 billion bytes, whereas computer operating systems use a binary calculation system. Additionally, up to 10% of the physical memory is reserved by the card for formatting, wear leveling, and fundamental system operations.
Does the adapter slow down the read or write speeds?
No. The included adapter is a passive pass-through tool that changes the physical size of the card to fit standard SD slots. It does not alter the transmission rates or performance capabilities of the underlying microSDXC chip.
